Class Schedule:

3rd Saturday of every month with rotating topics and recipes

 

A culinary chef and staff help students with sensory and special needs gain confidence in the kitchen while learning food handling, measuring skills and socialization. Class sizes will be limited to 10 students to allow for more personalized attention. Ages 4 and up welcome.



What To Expect: Each class little chefs will get their hands dirty, be exposed to new recipes, and learn a little technique.

·         Classes are 1 ½ to 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above

·         You will work with/ be seated in tables of 4

·         Seating is un-assigned and on a first come first serve basis

·         Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back

·         You will enjoy a sample taste of every dish

 

Registration Notes: The student/ child should be registered as "Sensory Friendly Little Chefs". Materials and space will be allocated for them. We ask that all parents remain in the class. If parents or aides will be assisting students with the activities please register as "Non-participant Little Chefs". No materials will be issued or allocated, but this will allow us to best provide the appropriate space.

 

 

Good Kitchen Etiquette:

·         Please arrive 15 minutes early  

 

·         Menu may deviate based on availability of ingredients

 

·         Cancellations made up to 48 hours in advance of class start time will receive a full refund.  No refunds or credits will be given for a cancellation made less than 24 hours before the class. Cancellations can be made by e-mailing ljones@gptx.org  

 

 

·         When a class is cancelled due to not meeting minimum attendance or inclement weather, we will contact you by email or telephone and issue a full refund or a transfer to another class of equal value. If you miss a class for other concerns, our standard cancellation policy applies.
